How the rating is made
Selection

How to choose an online casino in 2026
A casino rating only helps if you know what stands behind each score. Here is what we check, in the order that matters most for a player who wants to withdraw winnings without surprises.
License and payout history
A license is the minimum, not a quality mark. We look at who issued it, whether the operator has unresolved complaints and how long it has been paying out to real players. The MGA and the UKGC are the strictest regulators.
Who issued the license
The license number is usually printed in the site footer. Open the regulator’s register and search for it: the domain must be listed there.
What a license does not guarantee
It does not make bonus terms fair and does not speed up payouts. That is why we check those separately.

Bonus terms that decide the value
The headline amount says little. Three numbers decide whether a bonus is worth taking:
- Wagering: how many times the bonus has to be bet.
- Maximum bet: bets above it may cancel the bonus.
- Usually €5 per spin.
- Sometimes 10% of the bonus.
- Validity: the days you have to finish the wagering.
Turnover = bonus × wagering, e.g. €100 × 35 = €3,500. A 10th deposit bonus rarely beats the 1st one, and the small print often hides a cap like €500max.

A bonus with x45 wagering costs almost twice as much as one with x25, even if the amounts are the same.
