Affiliate programs tell you how many players signed up. They do not tell you which button on which page sent them. Without that you cannot tell whether the rating on the front page earns more than the button at the end of a review. Revio counts every click on your affiliate buttons and shows where it came from.
Short links instead of affiliate URLs
Every “Visit casino” and “Get bonus” button leads to a short link of your site: /go/royal-casino/ for a casino, /go/royal-casino/welcome-bonus/ for a bonus. The short link counts the click and redirects to the affiliate link from the casino or bonus fields.
- Change an affiliate link once, in the casino, and every button and every short link pasted into articles follows.
- The editor shows the short link under the affiliate link field, ready to copy into a text.
- The prefix is yours: go, out or visit.
What the stats show
Casinos → Clicks shows clicks and visitors per day, the casinos and bonuses with the most clicks, the buttons (rating, first screen, bonus card, casino review, comparison) and the pages they were clicked on. Look at 7, 30, 90 or 365 days, for one casino or for all. The casino and bonus lists get a “Clicks, 30 days” column, and Download CSV exports every click of the period.
Clean numbers
- Bots and link previews are not counted.
- Clicks of logged-in authors and editors are not counted, unless you ask for it.
- A visitor is counted once a day by a hash that changes daily; IP addresses are not stored.
- Old clicks are deleted after the period you choose, or kept forever.
Safe for search engines
Short links answer with a 302 redirect, noindex, nofollow and no caching, and robots.txt closes the prefix to crawlers. The buttons keep rel=”sponsored nofollow”, which is what Google asks for paid links.
