A player from Germany who clicks a casino that does not accept German players is a lost click and a lost visitor. Casinos accept different countries, and international affiliate sites have players from everywhere. Revio tells each visitor which casinos work for them.
Set the countries of a casino
In the casino fields, Accepts players takes “Only from the countries below” or “From everywhere except the countries below”, and Countries the list. That is all the setup a casino needs.
What the visitor sees
- The casino page shows “Available in Germany” or “Not available in Germany” under the button and in the side card.
- The rating marks the casinos that are not available in the visitor’s country, or hides them if you prefer.
- While the country is unknown, your own availability note is shown, for example “Available to players from Canada”.
Works with page caching
The page is the same for every visitor, so caching keeps working: a small script asks the site for the country once per visit and updates the labels. Visitor addresses are not sent anywhere.
Where the country comes from
The country comes from Cloudflare: put the site behind Cloudflare (the free plan is enough) and turn on IP Geolocation. The same headers of CloudFront, Fastly, Google Cloud, Vercel, Kinsta and the GeoIP modules of nginx and Apache work too. To check a page as a player from another country, add ?country=DE to its address.
